They are saying that Superman protected the world and fight crime, greed, injustice and abuse. The Superman known as Clark Kent; he is an average man that has the power to fight any enemies. He showed what is truly natural by fighting against villain. In 1938, Superman was established in the action comics during the Depression (Barrier et al 11).However, Superman is just not a hero that came from the planet Krypton and to fight the villain, but he became an American icon. He gave up his power to benefit mankind and that is the example of citizens (Bridwell 25). Furthermore, one year after Superman established, Roosevelt understood the power of the media to control public opinion by using Superman to support the war effort (Wright 34). Superman became the American pride of its favorite superhero. I learned that superhero is not just being cool but sacrifice, everyone can be a hero. He helped people without taking a gift and just wanted the world in peace. I would like to know that how Superman lived in a normal life, without using his power for himself.
